Plans are per workspace and billed monthly in USD, excluding tax. There is no free plan: Starter comes with a 14-day free trial. Manage your plan in Settings → Billing.

Every plan includes encryption with age, integrity checks after every backup, uptime monitoring, notifications, team roles, the audit log, the API and MCP.
Storage is billed on the compressed size of your backups, never on the size of your database. See Extra storage and spending cap.
Custom
For many databases, long history or a lot of data, a Custom plan can include more databases than Pro, retention longer than 90 days, larger backups and more at once, restore tests on every backup of any size, storage priced for your volume, and help moving your first databases in. The backupd audit log records who did what in a workspace, including denied attempts and downloads. Nobody can edit entries; they are kept for a year.
